Kirsty Woods, who qualified as a solicitor in 2008, works on injury claims from across the East Midlands out of Thompsons' Nottingham office.

Kirsty’s specialism is in orthopaedic and psychological injury claims, but the cases she deals with range from injuries caused on the road to accidents at work and public liability claims and assaults.

Kirsty will deal with claims from first instruction through to court proceedings and settlement.

She finds Thompsons' principle of acting only for the injured and never for those who cause injury, as well as the firm’s close working relationship with  trade unions, adds to the satisfaction of achieving great results for her clients.

When not at work, Kirsty has young children to look after and tries to relax with yoga, reading and the odd cocktail.


Kirsty's case experience

  • Represented a client who was violently assaulted while working in a residential care home. Despite the employer denying negligence, Kirsty secured a significant settlement.
