Nicola is an experienced chartered legal executive dealing with serious injury claims, and is based from Thompsons Solicitors’ London office.

Managing a caseload comprising of maximum severity cases, Nicola specialises in catastrophic injury and claims for adults and children who have suffered brain injuries as a result of clinical negligence, accidents or road traffic collisions.

Nicola’s serious injury cases encompass a broad range of claims involving fatal accidents, spinal injury, brain injury, multiple orthopaedic trauma and amputation.

In regards to clinical negligence, Nicola represents clients who have been victims of clinical negligence, including cerebral palsy, wrongful birth, diagnostic mistakes, delayed diagnosis and surgical errors.

Nicola is also part of the team responsible for representing those clients affected by vaginal mesh implants (TVT and TOT) and is heavily involved in progressing those cases, as well as supervising the work of others.

With significant experience of dealing with clients who have suffered amputations (both from medical negligence and trauma) and spinal injuries, Nicola works tenaciously to ensure that compensation is achieved to meet their needs and enable them to lead a full and active life.

  • Secured a £750,000 settlement for a pedestrian in a road traffic accident who was left in a wheelchair after suffering serious injuries to the head and brachial plexus. 
  • Secured a settlement of £550,000 for a client who suffered a spinal cord injury in a road traffic accident.
  • Settled an extremely complex claim for £300,000 for the family of a patient who died from a failure to diagnose and treat a colonic ischemia during surgery to remove a rectal carcinoma.
