HeartUnions Week is an annual initiative organised by the TUC
Staff at Thompsons Solicitors’ UK-wide network of offices will join organisations across the country this week to celebrate the vital work carried out by trade unions, as part of HeartUnions week.
Organised by the Trades Union Congress (TUC), the annual awareness week, which runs from 12 – 18 February, involves a week of activity throughout England and Wales focussing on the essential role trade unions play in our society and the many benefits that come from being a member. The awareness week will celebrate the work unions have done and continue to do to protect the rights of workers.
Thompsons Solicitors has supported the trade union movement throughout the firm’s history and shares its goal to campaign for fairer working practices in all workplaces. Since 1921, Thompsons Solicitors has only ever represented the injured and mistreated and trade union members, never acting for insurers or employers – values that give us a unique commitment to claimants. It’s our core belief central to everything the firm stands for.
“Thompsons Solicitors was founded on the principle of making the law accessible to working people, and we are proud to work with trade unions to achieve this goal on a day-to-day basis.”Stephen Cavalier, chief executive of Thompsons Solicitors
Thompsons Solicitors’ chief executive, Stephen Cavalier, said: “As the UK’s leading campaigning law firm standing in solidarity with trade unions, Thompsons is proud to support HeartUnions Week and the work of trade unions across the country. Trade unions are the backbone of our society, campaigning for rights for working people and ensuring that employers provide fair and consistent working practices across all industries.
