As an independent charity, the South West Asbestos Support Awareness Group (SWASAG) aims to provide help and practical support to people living in the South West of England affected by an asbestos-related disease.
During regular monthly meetings, the group offers friendly advice and support and provides individuals and families with a forum in which they can share their experiences with others in similar situations. SWASAG also provides information and support about benefits and compensation and aims to provide education to the wider public about the dangers of asbestos.
Thompsons supports SWASAG by helping at its events, via sponsorship, by raising awareness of asbestos-related conditions, and by attending meetings and getting to know members.
