Estelle works within the medical negligence team at Thompsons' Nottingham office, where she deals with cases from across the East Midlands.

Estelle has 17 years’ experience as a solicitor for trade union members and their families, and though she has dealt with personal injury claims outside medical negligence, her specialisation is in high-value claims arising from spinal injuries, orthopaedic injuries, amputations, surgical errors, brain injuries, fatalities, and delayed diagnoses of cancer. Her experience extends to group actions arising from negligent surgery and the misuse of medical devices.

For Estelle, the most rewarding aspect of her job is carefully and skillfully supporting trade union members at a difficult time in their lives, and obtaining the maximum compensation they need for the future.

Estelle's case experience

  • Secured £2.5 million for a client who was misdiagnosed and placed on an orthopaedic ward after attending A&E with lower back and leg pain. The client became ischaemic and needed a double leg amputation when the blood supply to their legs remained blocked by a clot at the base of their spine, which was missed by doctors.
