Sabeena is an experienced clinical negligence solicitor working in the Bristol office as part of the national clinical negligence team at Thompsons.
She is currently part of the team working on hundreds of cases involving complications following surgery involving mesh products. These include many women who allege they were injured as a result of surgery by the colorectal surgeon, Mr Anthony Dixon.
Her experience also includes cases involving misdiagnosis, mistakes in surgery, and infection claims and she has represented clients suffering from orthopaedic injuries, cauda equina and necrotising fasciitis.
Sabeena is proud to work for a firm that puts clients’ needs at the forefront of everything it does. For her, the most rewarding aspect of working for Thompsons is its social justice ethos and that it works extremely hard to ensure the best possible outcome for clients.
Outside of her work at Thompsons, Sabeena directs The Sky Project, a Bristol-based charity raising awareness of forced marriage and honour-based abuse. She won Bristol Law Society Pro Bono Lawyer of the year in 2016 for her work on the project.
She was also shortlisted for ‘Champion of the Year’ at the Inspirational Women in Law Awards 2020. The Sky Project were also finalists at the South West Business Awards in 2021 and Bristol Life awards in 2022. She has also written articles and been on local and national radio.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing netball, current affairs and spending time with her young family.
