William is a clinical negligence solicitor based in Thompsons Solicitors’ London office.
William deals with a range of medical negligence cases, including failure to diagnose cancer, orthopaedic misdiagnosis and surgical errors. He also represents clients in secondary victim claims, who have suffered psychological injury as a result of witnessing a traumatic event that causes them to fear for their own life or that of a loved one.
William takes a firm, proactive approach to litigation while offering his clients the support and reassurance they need during the time that he is responsible for their case.
Recovering compensation for those who have been injured as a result of the negligent actions of another is something that William feels strongly about, and he always strives to recover the maximum amount to which his injured clients are entitled.

William's case experience
- Settled a claim for the widow and minor children of a young husband who sought treatment on three occasions but was refused care by an ambulance and a hospital trust. He was subsequently diagnosed with sepsis, but treatment commenced too late and he died. William was able to prove that with earlier treatment, he would have survived with no complications, securing substantial compensation for the family.
- Successfully settled a claim for over £500,000 for a patient undergoing hernia surgery which resulted in perforations to her bowel and bladder, resulting in the Claimant requiring lifelong care
- Pursued a claim for a young active man who suffered a knee injury playing football which a radiologist failed to diagnose on an MRI scan. With the assistance of expert evidence, William proved the ligament injury should have been diagnosed and treated following that MRI scan, securing compensation for his client.
