Thompsons Solicitors’ staff are raising funds for Cerebral Palsy Midlands
A team of 20 Thompsons Solicitors’ employees will take part in a charitable Dragon Boat Race on 17 May, raising funds for local charity Cerebral Palsy Midlands.
Now in its 15th year, amateur and experienced rowers will compete in the annual Dragon Boat Race, which takes place at Himley Hall in Dudley.
The Thompsons’ team of rowers is raising funds for Cerebral Palsy Midlands, a Birmingham based charity supporting people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.
Richard Johnson, a senior clinical negligence solicitor in Thompsons Solicitors’ Birmingham office and Dragon Boat Race team member, said: “Through our work with victims of clinical negligence, we work closely with clients affected by cerebral palsy and understand the immediate and long-term care required following diagnosis.
“Charities such as Cerebral Palsy Midlands offer essential support, information and services to people diagnosed with cerebral palsy and to their families.
“The team is excited about competing in the annual boat race – it is set to be a really fun day and, most importantly, we will be raising funds for a really worthwhile cause in the process.”
