Ratification of convention on violence

The UK government is proposing to sign up to a law that aims to minimise levels of brutality at work, particularly for those who are most at risk, such as women.

Personal substitution

There are a number of criteria determining whether someone is a worker, one of which focuses on the extent to which they must provide their services themselves.

Implication of a term

Although terms can be inferred into a contract by a tribunal, its power is limited in that it cannot infer a term that would alter the contract’s main purpose.
