Carer’s Leave Bill passes second reading

A new piece of legislation has been introduced into parliament, backed by the government, which aims to give extra time off to workers who look after others.

Contractual issue

When deciding if someone is a worker or not, tribunals have to take a number of factors into consideration, which includes whether they work under a contract.

Identifiable practice

When considering a claim of disability discrimination, tribunals must consider the policy identified by the claimant as opposed to one they have identified.
